The desk came into the function from 2nd April 2019 just a day after the destructive storm hit Bara and Parsa district. The desk has started observing, analyzing and updating the situation.
Urgent Meeting-Massive wind storm
With its’ aim to discuss the relief, rescue and way forward regarding the massive storm that claimed 27 lives, leaving 400 people injured on 31st March 2019, the urgent meeting was organized by DPNet-Nepal on 1st April 2019.

DPNet-Nepal as a secretariat of National Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (NPDRR) chaired by Secretary of Ministry Home Affairs, organized the NPDRR meeting on 31st December 2018.
Monthly Dialogue: Learning Sharing on Localization
One of the major themes of DPNet-Nepal is Knowledge Management. As a part of knowledge management DPNet-Nepal organizes monthly learning sharing workshops, policy dialogue publication of IEC materials and translation of national and international documents on DRR in its annual plan.
