Summary

This is a short report on a women-centric approach to enhance resilience. The lesson learned from the report was to enhance mountain people's resilience, and integrate people-centric climate change adaptation (CCA) and disaster risk reduction (DRR) practices into long-term development planning. Promote simple, affordable, and replicable solutions that address villagers' concerns without burdening women and enable them to initiate change independently. Effective CCA and DRR involve communities in shared responsibilities, decision-making, and local institution ownership for wider uptake and better results.
