Climate change scenarios for Nepal
Summary
The impacts of climate change on different sectors constitute a serious threat to Nepal’s economy and society. In order to plan and implement a successful adaptation strategy, it is vital to understand the patterns of a changing climate and, in particular, how they are likely to evolve in the future. Accordingly, the Ministry of Forests and Environment (MOFE), Government of Nepal, initiated the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) formulation process in September 2015 to develop mediumand long-term adaptation strategies.
