Disaster Risk Reduction Education That Enhances the Proactive Attitudes of Learners a Bridge between Knowledge and Behavior

Summary

This research paper analyzes the educational acts that take place between instructors and learners, such as research on the effects of DRR educational training conducted by DRR education experts with learners and the effects of tsunami evacuation drills conducted by instructors with children. Also, a common thread running through DRR education is the expectation that instructors will teach learners the knowledge and skills of DRR so that learners will be able to engage proactively in DRR activities as well as respond appropriately in the event of an actual disaster.
