Summary
While earlier EWS projects supported local level monitoring of river levels, using watch towers and intra-community warning, the project in Banke and Bardia (on the West Rapti and Babai rivers respectively) aimed to link communities to formal upstream monitoring stations operated by the DHM (Department of Hydrology and Meteorology).
