This report includes CSOs’ perspectives on goal 16+ and the current status of state implementation in Nepal. Sustainable Development Goal 16 - peace, justice, and strong institutions - is one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals established by the United Nations in 2015. The purpose of this report is to provide an overview of the state of national implementation of SDG 16+ in Nepal. It covers human rights perspectives on the SDGs, think-tank views on SDG 16+, and initiatives of the National Focal Point on SDGs. The report focuses on legislation, national mechanisms, and instruments for implementation and monitoring, utilizing basic data and information from secondary sources and available documents. It serves as a foundation for an independent assessment of the national implementation of SDGs, with a specific focus on SDG 16 and its targets.
