This document describes the work undertaken as a part of a program study at the faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation of the University of Twente. This study models forest fire behavior and carbon emission in the Ludikhola Watershed, Gorkha District, Nepal. This research proves the applicability of the FARSITE model outputs in the development of a method to estimate fire-induced carbon emission. The results of this study also provide the necessary knowledge on interactions between fire intensity, biomass density, and carbon emission.
