This bulletin outlines the activities conducted during the COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Operation duration. Amid a surge in COVID-19 infections, the Kathmandu Valley has been under prohibitory orders until May 27, 2021, affecting public and private transport and limiting operating hours for essential stores. Similar orders are enforced in 74 of 77 districts nationwide. International flights are suspended until May 31, with exceptions for two weekly flights from Delhi. The government directs the use of all beds in key hospitals for COVID-19 patients and requests private hospitals to allocate two-thirds of their beds.
