Nepal faces significant vulnerability to natural disasters, resulting in substantial economic losses and human casualties. This study, involving 124 individuals from 19 randomly selected districts, aimed to assess local people's knowledge on disaster risk reduction (DRR). The analysis revealed that existing DRR education initiatives in Nepal may be insufficient, as identified deficiencies in disseminating DRR knowledge were observed. Despite a lack of statistically significant gender-based differences, the findings emphasize the need for enhancements in DRR programs to better prepare and raise awareness among local communities in Nepal.
