Summary

This document is a local DRR act prepared for managing disasters at the local level in 2075 about the Narayan Municipality.  The Narayan Municipality, utilizing the authority granted by Article 221(1) of the Constitution of Nepal, has enacted a law to create a coordinated and effective framework for disaster risk reduction and management. This framework aims to minimize risks from both natural (including climate change) and non-natural disasters, ensuring the preservation of public life, public and private property, natural and cultural heritage, and physical infrastructure. The Municipality seeks to implement all activities related to risk reduction and management in a harmonized and impactful manner, in accordance with the law.
