This newsletter by NSET was published in 2008 on the seventy-fifth year of the Great Nepal-Bihar Earthquake of 1934 (15 January 1934 A.D) in the memory of Nepalese people. The newsletter provides information on the activities conducted during Earthquake Safety Day. The main objective of ESD is to create awareness and share knowledge and information about safety measures and disaster risk management. Typically, the ESD is the culmination of earthquake risk management works implemented in the country in the preceding 12 months, and it allows taking stock of the achievements and shortcomings during the whole year.
