Landslide Susceptibility Mapping with GIS in Nagi Dada Area of Panauti Municipality, Kavrepalanchwok District: A Comparison Between AHP and FR Method

Summary

This paper compared Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Frequency Ratio (FR) methods for landslide susceptibility mapping in the Nagi Dada area of Panauti Municipality. Using GIS tools and multiple conditioning factors, both models produced maps that categorize the region into varying risk zones, supporting local-level disaster management. The study demonstrates that AHP and FR are effective for municipal-scale hazard assessment and can guide land-use planning and mitigation efforts.
