Summary

This seven-day training program was launched in Lalitpur Metropolitan City for municipal police and volunteers, based on a curriculum approved by the 29th meeting of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Executive Committee. The aim is to strengthen volunteer capacity at the local level for effective disaster response, with plans to replicate the model across all municipalities. The training was organized by NDRRMA with technical support from the National Society for Earthquake Technology (NSET) and in partnership with Lalitpur Metropolitan City.
