Summary

The Karnali Provincial Assembly has enacted an Act to establish and manage the Karnali Province Contingency Fund. This Act aims to provide immediate financial support for special situations arising from natural and unnatural disasters, such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, fires, epidemics, and other unforeseen events. It is in accordance with Article 212 of the Constitution of Nepal and is designed to ensure prompt assistance during emergencies. The Act includes provisions for the formulation of the provincial emergency fund, the amount to be kept in the fund, and provisions to increase the amount of the fund etc.
