Air Quality Report of Dhulikhel 2026-2020(वायु गुणस्तर प्रतिवेदन- धुलिखेल)


This is the report on the Air Quality status of Dhulikhel, Nepal. From 2016 to 2022, the air quality in Dhulikhel, Nepal, reflected broader national trends characterized by significant air pollution challenges. Key pollutants, particularly particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10), frequently exceeded World Health Organization (WHO) recommended limits, primarily due to vehicular emissions, industrial activities, and domestic sources like cooking fires. These high pollution levels were most acute during the dry season. The report encompasses the efforts to manage air quality including initiatives to reduce emissions from major sources, such as promoting cleaner cooking technologies and enhancing vehicular emissions standards. The report also highlighted the health impacts have been substantial, with increased respiratory and cardiovascular issues, particularly among vulnerable populations. The Global Burden of Disease study underscores air pollution as a leading risk factor for death and disease in Nepal.
