Developing National Disaster Risk Reduction Policy and Strategic Action Plan in Nepal
Summary
This report prepared by Practical Action submitted to UNDP, Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management Programme provides a review of the major disasters such as floods in Koshi and Far Western Region in 2008, floods in Surkhet, Bardiya, and Kailali in 2014, Jure landslide in 2014 and Gorkha earthquake in 2015. The causes of those disasters, and good practices, shortcomings, and recommendations for managing the disasters are presented.
