This report highlights the comprehensive assessment and response to the 2023 Bajhang Earthquake in Far Western Nepal, compiled by DPNet. The earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3, significantly affected seven districts, notably Bajhang and Bajura, causing substantial physical damage, one fatality, and injuring 30 individuals across various districts. This report offers an in-depth look at the disaster's impact, focusing on physical infrastructure damages, displaced families, and sectoral losses, emphasizing the immediate need for technical verification of reported damages. This report also documents the damages across affected districts, with annexes providing ward-wise summaries, showcasing the extent of the impact on private houses, government buildings, and essential infrastructure. It also discusses the mobilization of search and rescue operations, humanitarian relief efforts, and the challenges faced in coordination and distribution of aid.
