Summary

This report consists of the findings of the situation in Bajhang district after the Earthquake of 5.3 magnitude earthquake followed 26 minutes later by a significantly stronger 6.3 magnitude. As it took place in the daytime, it gave time for the people to relocate themselves to a safer place after the initial jolt, resulting in fewer human casualties. It's noteworthy that while there was only one tragic death, the substantial damage to infrastructure, particularly to homes and educational infrastructures, has been staggering. Despite the considerable infrastructural devastation, the limited human casualties seem to have resulted in an oversight from both development partners and the government as per the report.
