Summary

This “Rapid Need Assessment (RNA)” identifies and understands the risk and analyzes the situations on local disaster risk management governance for risk-based preparedness and anticipatory actions in the Sudurpaschim Province. The study focused on identifying gaps, opportunities, and activities of intervention for disaster risk reduction and management and improving the livelihood of the local people. This study also analyzed the situations and identified opportunities to link early actions and shock-responsive social protection in disaster preparedness plans for synergies amidst humanitarian actors and three tiers of government.
