It encompasses a chain reaction of hazards, such as earthquakes leading to tsunamis, which can compound the devastation. Effective mitigation and preparedness are essential to address CCDR and reduce its destructive potential.

This document aims to enhance CCDR literacy at the local level so that the local government, communities, and relevant stakeholders can improvise their existing plans and practices to deal with extreme and multi-hazard situations involving CCDR impacts.
