This presentation on “Federalizing DRRM Governance in Nepal: Challenges in Policy Implementation” was prepared and shared by Mr. Dinanath Bhandari during a National Dialogue on Disaster Management Policies which highlights the key governance concerns regarding intergovernmental collaboration policies and gaps.

This presentation incorporates the discussions and recommendations of the Policy Dialogue on Multi-level Disaster Risk Governance, such as; legal boundaries and limitations, organizational structures, challenges in implementing the constitutional provisions, and international practices in disaster management. It further highlights the existing constitutional provisions, disaster management practices, and thought-provoking concerns regarding the changes that need to be made in disaster policies, along with the ideas and recommendations for future policy dialogues in the three tiers of government.
