Summary

Based on discussions, interactions, and suggestions obtained through deliberations with local-level stakeholders, organizations, civil society, and citizenry, and with the aim of fostering a close relationship between wildlife, affected Nepali citizens, and local residents, the Ministry of Forests and Environment has formulated these guidelines under Rule 114 of the Financial Procedure Rules, 2064 (2007) to provide relief to the affected Nepali citizens and to strengthen the economic modality. These guidelines intend to establish a closer connection between wildlife and local residents and have been formulated with the objective of addressing the financial consequences.
