Summary

The National Climate Change Policy published by the Ministry of Forest and Environment aims to mainstream gender and social inclusion in policy formulation, institutional structures, and program implementation related to climate change. It emphasizes facilitating livelihood enhancement by integrating and simplifying gender and social inclusion considerations. Furthermore, based on the experiences gained from various studies and researches, as well as recommendations derived from different practices in the field of adaptation, a deeper analysis has been conducted in Nepal's climate change policies. This analysis seeks to extensively address the various societal, economic, and political aspects in order to further address social justice issues and prioritize them as high priorities.
