Summary

After recognizing the need to minimize the adverse impact of disasters on the socio-economic conditions of communities by promoting preparedness, the crucial role of schools, students, teachers, and communities in this effort was identified. NSET jointly with the Nepalese government's Department of Education published this book as an implementation of disaster education for students aiming to provide valuable insights and actions for disaster education among students in Nepal.

This book provides basic information on hazards and Disaster, types of disasters in Nepal, terminologies used in disaster and the whole DRRM cycle along with the importance of psychosocial counseling during disasters. Further, this book guides the teachers on divulging the students about extremities of disasters and the ways to deal with those situations of chaos.
