Summary

The paper reviews four studies conducted by the authors, focusing on GESI and climate change issues and opportunities in the context of federal Nepal. The findings of these studies are reviewed, assessed, and analyzed to identify common issues and challenges. The synthesis and conclusions drawn from the four studies form the narrative of the paper, highlighting the issues and opportunities related to mainstreaming GESI in climate change. Based on this analysis, the paper provides recommendations for actions at both institutional and community levels to advance gender equality and social inclusion in the context of climate change planning and implementation in Nepal.
