Summary

In response to the United Nations Disaster Risk Reduction International Secretariat's request to establish disaster risk reduction work platforms worldwide, the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of Nepal created a "Disaster Risk Reduction National Work Platform" in 2069. This initiative aims to coordinate and enhance the effectiveness of disaster management efforts across all levels of government. Following this, local-level work platforms have also been established to ensure collective disaster risk reduction activities and provide additional benefits to local bodies. To operate the forum openly and involve stakeholders and individuals working in various disaster management fields, the Godavari Municipality, Kailali, has approved and issued the "Operational Guidelines for Disaster Risk Reduction Local Forum, 2077".
