Summary

This is a reporting document on "TAYAR Nepal's program on Developing Risk Sensitive Land Use Planning for Godawari Municipality". The project aimed to develop Risk Sensitive Land Use Plans (RSLUPs) for Godawari Municipality through participatory processes, identifying various multi-hazards, and recommending disaster risk reduction measures. The project also supports municipal governments in making key policy decisions related to land use and urban planning. This document includes the development of associated manuals, guidelines, and communication materials for RSLUP. Additionally, the project focused on building local knowledge and capacitating municipalities to implement and regulate RSLUP activities and building by-laws. Its specific objectives include conducting a multi-hazard risk assessment, creating RSLUP through participatory processes, identifying various multi-hazards, assisting in policy decisions, developing associated materials, and building local knowledge and capacity for RSLUP implementation.
