Summary

This sample act on local environment and natural resources conservation has been developed under Article 221 of the Nepalese Constitution. It aims to implement rights and responsibilities outlined in Schedules 8 and 9 for local levels, ensuring citizens' fundamental rights to a clean and healthy environment, sustainable resource use, and proper management while fostering a balance between environment and development, and conserving natural resources and biodiversity as necessary.
