Summary

This is a sample act for the Village/Urban Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (Model) Act. Its purpose is to establish laws that facilitate the coordinated and effective implementation of activities concerning disaster risk reduction and management. The goal is to preserve the general livelihood, as well as public, private, and individual property, natural and cultural heritage, and physical structures from both natural and man-made disasters within the jurisdiction of the Rural Municipality/Municipality.
