Summary

The Kanakai Municipality enacted a law, in accordance with the rights granted by the Constitution of Nepal and the Local Government Operation Act, 2074, to minimize risks and manage activities in a coordinated and effective manner for the protection of public life, property, natural and cultural heritage, and physical structures within its jurisdiction from natural and man-made disasters. The law creates a legal framework that promotes the harmonious and impactful implementation of disaster risk reduction and management activities.
