This paper looks at both the advantages and challenges that come with following safe building codes in Bangladesh and Nepal to increase resilience to disasters. While both countries have building codes, compliance is often lacking due to socioeconomic, political, and cultural factors. The objective of this project is to comprehend and tackle these obstacles, promoting a broader implementation of building codes to enhance disaster resilience. In order to promote the application of the code, partner universities in the area are working together to exchange expertise and increase awareness.
