This report addresses global challenges like famine, drought, war, and poverty faced by 193 countries. These nations recognized the potential for change and created the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), envisioning a future free from poverty, hunger, and severe climate impacts within 15 years. Despite the ambitious nature of the plan, there is evidence of progress, such as halving extreme poverty over the past 15 years. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) plays a key role in achieving the SDGs by 2030, operating in nearly 170 countries and territories to make these goals a reality and encourage global participation.
