Summary

This document supplements the UNFCCC NAP Technical Guidelines by focusing on integrating risk-centered approaches and creating synergies with disaster risk reduction (DRR) efforts. Intended for national authorities and stakeholders involved in developing or updating National Adaptation Plans (NAPs), especially in least developed countries (LDCs), it provides additional guidance on incorporating risk management and DRR best practices. It also helps disaster risk management authorities understand NAP processes to support and contribute effectively. The guidance highlights considerations for planning authorities to comprehensively address climate and disaster risks in national development planning.
