Summary

In order to reduce the risk from natural and man-made disasters and ensure the protection of public and private properties, natural and cultural heritage, and physical structures, the Bhimeshwor Municipality has established and operationalized the Municipality Emergency Operation Center (MEOC) within its jurisdiction. This center aims to promptly search, rescue, and provide relief to citizens during emergencies and ensure coordination for support. This document is an operation procedure of the MEOC which acts as a guiding document for the concerned bodies. It incorporates the organizational structure, working structure, roles and responsibilities of the members, management of the center, preparedness, response, and reconstruction along with the EWS, search, and rescue plan, capacity building of the community people and volunteers for mobilization during emergencies.
