Summary

Bhimeshwor Municipality is located in an area prone to various disasters such as earthquakes, landslides, floods, wildfires, epidemics, and others. The high vulnerability and limited capacity of this region have resulted in significant damages to public and private properties, infrastructure, and other structures. In order to minimize and manage the risks posed by such natural and man-made disasters, and to establish a mechanism for disaster risk management at the local level, the establishment and operation of the Disaster Risk Management Fund have been deemed necessary.

Therefore, exercising the authority provided in Section 27 of the Bhimeshwor Municipality Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act, 2076, the Municipality has issued this procedure to implement the provisions of Sub-section (4) of Section 12 of the same Act through the Bhimeshwor Municipal Executive committee.
