Summary

Bhimeshwor Municipality has been facing various disasters, and in times of emergency, it has experienced significant damages and losses. In order to minimize the damages and prepare for emergencies, the Municipality has formulated the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act and has also prepared a contingency and response plan. With the intention of providing relief and support to the affected individuals, the Municipality has established criteria for the distribution of aid.

The Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act 2076 being exercised using the authority provided in section 27, has enabled the Bhimeshwor Municipal Council to issue the Disaster Relief Criteria 2078 for relief at the municipal level.
