Summary

This is the document on the Gender Violence Prevention Fund Operation Guideline, 2077 of Godawari Municipality. In the Constitution of Nepal, there are provisions to address gender discrimination and ensure women's basic rights, including equal descent, safe motherhood, and reproductive health. Women have the right to participate in all state bodies based on the principle of equal inclusion, and the Constitution also condemns and punishes all forms of discrimination and violence against women. Special opportunities are provided to promote gender equality in education, health, employment, and social security. In line with discouraging gender-based violence, the Godavari Municipal Executive has established a fund for its prevention, utilizing the authority granted by sub-section (7) of the Local Government Management Act, 2074.
