Summary

This presentation on "Transforming Communities through Innovative and Effective Humanitarian Response" was prepared and shared by Mr. Umesh Dhakal, Executive Director, Nepal Red Cross Society during the Second National Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (NCDRR) organized by MoHA in partnership with USAID Tayar Nepal and DPNet Nepal on 29-30 June 2023. This presentation went on track with a brief history of Humanitarian crises followed by the progression of DRR and Humanitarian Response by NRCS in Nepal, Paradigm shifts in the response, recommendations, and the way forwards.
