This presentation on "Resilient Infrastructures: Landslide Triggered by Road Construction and Way Forward" was prepared and shared by Mr. Saroj Kumar Pradhan, National Road Safety Council during the Second National Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (NCDRR) organized by MoHA in partnership with USAID Tayar Nepal and DPNet Nepal on 29-30 June 2023. This presentation talks about the existing road construction practices in Nepal, challenges faced due to the difficult Hilly Terrain, bad construction practices that trigger landslides, key aspects of resilient structures, learning and way forwards to minimize the landslides triggered by road construction.
