This presentation on "Public Health Emergency Management: Challenges and Safety" was prepared and shared by Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari, Chief, of the Health Emergency Operation Center, Ministry of Health and Population during the Second National Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (NCDRR) organized by MoHA in partnership with USAID Tayar Nepal and DPNet Nepal on 29-30 June 2023. This presentation clarifies the involvement of the Health sector in Disaster Risk Reduction, the four priority areas aligning with Disaster Risk Reduction National Strategic Plan 2018-2030 HEOC has been working with, learning from the challenges faced in the past, findings, and the proposed way forwards.
