This presentation on "Early Warning System and Effective Information Dissemination" was prepared and shared by Er. Mousam Bhandari, Hydrologist, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology during the Second National Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (NCDRR) organized by MoHA in partnership with USAID Tayar Nepal and DPNet Nepal on 29-30 June 2023.

This presentation provides a timeline of the evolution of methods that have been used over the years for monitoring and disseminating information related to floods, This presentation also incorporates information about the early warning system, prediction, and forecasting of disasters and hazards, and the analysis of those data for effective preparedness.
