Summary

This presentation on "Ensuring Resilience: Disaster Risk Transfer/Financing" was prepared and shared by Mr. Bhakta Bahadur Hamal, Chairman, FNCCI during the Second National Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (NCDRR) organized by MoHA in partnership with USAID Tayar Nepal and DPNet Nepal on 29-30 June 2023.

The presentation starts with a brief introduction to the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and gradually progresses toward the strategic direction, objectives, vision, mission, roles of FNCCI in Disaster Risk Reduction, Private Sector understanding in DRR, roles of Private Sector in DRR, benefits of Private sector engagement in DRR in Nepal. Along with this, the presentation attempts to shed light on the issues and challenges faced by the private sector while getting involved in Disaster risk reduction.
