Summary

This presentation on Technology, Innovation, and Science in DRR was prepared and shared by Ar. Kabita Pandey, Nepal Academy of Science and Technology during the Second National Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (NCDRR) organized by MoHA in partnership with USAID Tayar Nepal and DPNet Nepal on 29-30 June 2023.

Her presentation sheds light on understanding disaster management through the understanding of their risk, the cycle of Disaster Management, and its interconnection with Science, Technology, and Innovation. It further talks about Gender Equality Disability and Social Inclusion in DRR, challenges in mainstreaming GEDSI in DRRM along with the initiatives of NAST in the sector of DRRM.
