Summary

This is a report on Water-Induced Disasters in The Hindu Kush-Himalayan Region. This report summarizes the presentations, discussions, and findings of the regional workshop on ‘Water-Induced Disasters in the Hindu-Kush Himalayan Region’ held in December 2001 in Kathmandu. The goal of the report is to exchange disaster preparedness information, promote community disaster management, and integrate gender considerations. This aimed to establish regional cooperation and a knowledge-sharing network for disaster mitigation in the HKH region.
