Summary

Ramechhap, a central mountainous district in eastern Bagmati Province, faces significant disaster risks due to its diverse geography, climate change, and human activities. The district is vulnerable to floods, landslides, earthquakes, droughts, fires, and epidemics. To mitigate these risks, the Nepal Government has developed the Monsoon Preparedness and Response Plan 2077, aimed at reducing disaster impacts and managing post-incident operations effectively. This plan incorporates measures for minimizing physical damage and addressing challenges posed by both monsoon-related and health-related disasters, including the COVID-19 pandemic. The District Disaster Management Committee continues to implement these strategies to enhance resilience and provide humanitarian assistance.
