Summary

This report illustrates that in December 2020, Nepal filed its second Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) to the UNFCCC, outlining detailed plans for mitigating and adapting to climate change. The report also outlined the following quantitative and policy goals for the main thematic areas and sub-areas: power generation, transportation, household stoves and biogas, agroforestry and other land use, and waste. The paper summarized solutions from various industries, including waste management, industry, forestry, transportation, energy, and urban development. To achieve environmental sustainability and meet international climate targets, these plans emphasize policy development, capacity building, and integrating climate resilience into national development frameworks.
