Summary

It is necessary to enact a law for the coordinated and effective implementation of all disaster risk reduction and management activities in Godavari Municipality. This local-level act aims to safeguard public, private, and individual resources, as well as natural and cultural heritage, and physical structures from both natural and unnatural disasters. The Act has been formulated by Godawari Municipality, exercising the authority granted by Article 910 of Article 221 of the Constitution of Nepal regarding Disaster Risk Reduction and Management.
